The storming of Berlin is one of the largest operations of the Soviet Army during the Great Patriotic War, which took place from April 16 to May 8, 1945. This grandiose operation was a decisive moment in the liberation of Europe from fascism.
Berlin operation, went down in history as the most massive and bloody for the entire Second World War, its conquest required tremendous effort and sacrifice on the part of Soviet soldiers.
Aldar Valerievich told in detail about the strategic aspects of the operation, about the cost of victory for our country, and about the significance of the storming of Berlin. The fact is that despite the allied agreements, the political leadership of the United States and England also claimed to be the first to occupy the capital of Germany, but it was the Red Army that first hoisted the Victory Banner over the Reichstag.
The lecture was an important step in the patriotic education of young people, allowing students to gain a deeper understanding of historical events and realize the significance of the Soviet people's contribution to the victory over fascism.
It is important that the younger generation understands the lessons of history and honors the memory of those who gave their lives for a peaceful future. Such events contribute to the formation of patriotic consciousness and respect for the history of their country.
The lecture was based on archival data of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, which gives it special value and reliability. In the conditions of active struggle against falsification of history, it is important to remember that it was the Soviet Union that won the Second World War, and we should be proud of this page of our history.
During the lecture, the lecturer also mentioned the famous triptych sculptures: “Three Swords of Victory”, ‘Motherland Calls!’ and ‘Warrior Liberator’, which symbolize the courage and heroism of Soviet soldiers.
