On April 29, 2024, the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics (IMFKN) hosted a delegation from the Mongolian National University of Science and Technology (MNUST). The delegation included Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation DanjhYY Tsolmonbaatar and Professor Dash Oyuntsetseg.
On behalf of the Institute, the guests were met by representatives of the Directorate, heads of departments and heads of research units. During the negotiations, the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation:
- Joint research projects in the field of Big Data, robotics and electronics;
- Participation of students and researchers in the Asia-Pacific Robot Contest;
- Scientific cooperation within the framework of Participation in international conferences with the possibility of publishing in journals indexed in Scopus and WoS;
- Development of academic mobility, including double degree programs (2+2, 3+1) in related fields;
- Creation of a joint dissertation council;
- Issues of simplifying the visa regime for scientific and educational exchange.
In addition, Mongolian colleagues proposed organizing a study visit in June to study their laboratory developments in the field of school education.
In the near future, the parties plan to continue negotiations, including within the framework of the rectors' forum, where the participation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov is expected.
IMPCS is open to expanding international cooperation and strengthening scientific and educational ties with leading universities in Asia.
