Strengthening ties: long-standing cooperation between universities

On May 15, the delegation of Dorzhi Banzarov Buryat State University headed by Rector A.V. Damdinov was received by Mr. Zhang Baozong, First Secretary of the Party Committee of Changchun Polytechnic University.

During the meeting they discussed the results of long-term cooperation, which covers various fields of science and education. This cooperation started several years ago and has been greatly expanded and strengthened since then. During the period of joint work significant successes have been achieved, namely: within the framework of the student exchange program, many of our students had the opportunity to undergo internships at Changchun Polytechnic University, and students from China came to us to study, which contributed to cultural exchange and broadening the horizons of young people.

A.V. Damdinov noted the importance of strengthening ties with the partner university and expressed hope for further development of bilateral relations.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the prospects of organizing joint conferences, internships for students and teachers, as well as opportunities for participation in international projects. Both sides expressed readiness for active interaction and search for new formats of cooperation.

At the end of the meeting there was a concert of BSU student ensemble “Baikal gems” on the stage of Changchun Polytechnic University. The ensemble drew a full house, the hall was overflowing.
The concert of “Baikal gems” became a bright event not only for students of the university, but also for faculty and staff. The ensemble, representing the culture of Russia, demonstrated the richness and diversity of folk art.
