From June 2 to June 6, 2025, teachers of the Institute of History and Philology - Professor of the Department of PMK Dashinimayeva P.P. and Associate Professor of the Department of RCT Ulazayeva G.V. - held a series of lectures and scientific consultations at the Institute of Communications in Beijing and at Hebei North University Zhangjiakou at the invitation of these universities.
The topic of Dashinimayeva's lecture was covered through the prism of the history of the formation of the theory of the sign, which ensured the arrival of linguophilosophy to the direction of “natural pragmatism”. Peirce's signs - icons, indices and symbols - were considered according to the criterion “the degree of closeness to the initial nominated denotation”, and the very possibility of shifting meanings - through the psycholinguistic theories of speech generation and perception. The theme of the consultation also included an excursion into the evolution of linguistics, and reasons for changes in methodology and methods were articulated. The students' questions concerned the relevance of using certain methods, the degree of combining methods from different methodologies in the VKR.
G.V. Ulazayeva drew attention to the question concerning the modern linguistic situation in the world, spoke about the new in the vocabulary of the modern Russian language, about neologisms as a factor in changing the linguistic picture of the world and as markers of new standards of interpersonal relations, about the role of neologisms and borrowings in media texts in the modern period. The topic of the consultation “Russian classics in the modern educational space” aroused special interest among senior students. On June 6, as part of the Pushkin Day celebration, she held a master class “The Sun of Russian Poetry”.
Chinese students demonstrated a good level of proficiency in Russian and English, were active and interested listeners. BSU teachers, in their turn, had an opportunity to exchange experience in their subject area and language teaching methods. Together with Chinese teachers discussed a number of joint research projects, as well as joint participation in the development of training programs and teaching aids, in particular, in the direction of Philology, profile Russian as a foreign language.
